Coccyx AP X-Ray View displays the most distal part of the spine in a lateral posture. It is used with the AP projection. It is used to demonstrate the sacrum and coccyx anatomy and determine the reason for coccyx discomfort. The coccyx, or tailbone, is a tiny, triangular bone near the base of the spine.
